Meet Our Staff

Marisa

In more than 20 years as a teacher, studio owner and competition judge, Marisa has helped mold students into professionals, with former students on several NFL and NBA dance teams, or touring with recording artists like Pitbull, Karol G. and Yandel. Since moving to Oregon in 2019, Marisa has worked with several local studios, while also consulting at the University of Oregon and area high schools. As a Lake Oswego local, and mom of two, she started Dance Heroes in 2024 in order to provide a physical and creative outlet to elementary aged kids like her 7 year old son.

Lexi

Lexi Ostby has been a dancer and performer in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade. Currently on staff at Dance Heroes and with MVP Dance Elite, she's trained across multiple disciplines, including jazz, contemporary, ballet and hip hop.

Lexi spent two years with a Raw, a Portland based dance crew, competing across the state, where she had the opportunity to take on a lead role, "Queen Amare" during the 2023 season.

Most recently, Lexi had the opportunity to tour with Velocity, a national dance convention where she was mentored by several celebrity choreographers, including Brian Nicholson, Whitney Bezzant, and Ashley Gonzales. As an "MVA+" with Velocity, she had the opportunity to dance behind Ava Max, Tu Velo, and Nicky You're.
